Please note that it is the customer's responsibility to ensure the following:

  1. The inverter should be chosen to provide sufficient power plus a margin of 20%. If you plan to draw 2000 Watts, you will require a 2500 Watt inverter.
  2. The inverter must not be used with inductive loads, such as: Pool pumps, Borehole Pumps, Fluorescent strip lights, Welders and welding transformers, etc
  3. The inverter shall not be used with refrigeration or air-conditioning,
  4. Connect the inverter to the battery correctly - Red to Positive, Black to negative.
  5. Use the correct size battery cables  for the current drawn by the inverter.
  6. If possible use special mains plugs to ensure only the designed-for appliances are used with the inverter
  7. Test your installation for the amount of power being drawn before applying the inverter
  8. Don't keep adding appliances - you will soon exceed the capacity of the inverter,
  9. Expensive/Professional electronic equipment should be used with a sine wave inverter. Our inverters are all modified sine wave type. We will not be liable for damage to user's equipment as a result of the incorrect application of one of our inverters.
  10. Never, Ever plug the inverter output into a wall socket in an attempt to distribute the output.
  11. When installing into a DB board, be sure to observe SANS requirements regarding circuit breakers, and other safety requirements.
Failure to observe any of the above basic conditions of use violates the terms of our warranty.

Adventuretech was started by Gavin Venter in 2001. We initially concentrated on the wholesale of the "Brinkman" range of spotlights from premises in Kramerview shopping centre in Bryanston. As our product range expanded into air rifles and other sporting goods, we moved to new premises in Fourways. During the power outage of 2008, we adapted our range of inverters for camping to domestic use, and now stock a small range of inverters for emergency power. Our main thrust, however is the supply of goods to the outdoor adventurer.

We now carry an extensive range of high-quality products, such as riflescopes and binoculars, camping flasks from Thermos and our own range of qualty "Sniper" torches and air rifles. We are also stockists of Coleman brand products, as Camping Gaz International

We continue to expand and prosper and have now moved again to warehousing at 56 Trevallyn Business Park, North Riding, 2163 from our previous premises in Cresta.
